Hilton Waikoloa Village, Hawai’i

The Hilton Waikoloa Village is set up in an interesting fashion. Its towers are connected to the lobby by a long walkway. The walls of these walkways are filled with artwork from, mostly, Southeast Asia. Its impossible to walk past them without standing to gaze at or admire a few. I found the display a good way to pass time as we walked back and forth. It takes a good 7-10 minutes, one-way, based on how fast one walks. in fact, by the time we left, some of the pieces felt like old friends!

One of the clerks at the front desk told me that the artwork has been at the hotel for almost as long as the hotel has been open, about 20 years or longer. There are several art pieces strewn about the grounds of the resort as well. Mostly, animal/ bird themed and ready to be examined and appreciated.

Come take a photo tour, and enjoy a sampling of the pieces that caught my eye, both along the walkway as well on the grounds.

    Hi Suba
The manmade Hilton Waikoloa village setup is a beauty. The photo tour along the walkway filled with Southeast Asian artwork in existence for more than two decades add to the beauty. Each one of the pieces is rare in themselves. The lush the green grass and the pristine pure water in the village are you doing really a gift of the nature to enjoy.
Thank you Suba for the post.

I don’t understand WHY these pieces were chosen to be on display at a HAWAIʻIAN property????

One of my favorite parts of being here was to take daily walks along he corridor to experience the exquisiteness of the artwork. It is so majestic and beautiful. I loved the scale of it and the various displays, sculptures, shadow boxes, pottery, paintings. Whoever planned this display knew what they were doing!
