Marriott Executive Apartments Panama City, Finsterre

Part of the pleasure of our Panama trip was our stay at the Marriott Executive Apartments Finisterre. We booked it through the Citi Prestige Concierge to take advantage of the 4th night benefit. Centrally located, the hotel is in a bustling area, close to a supermarket  (Supermercado Riba Smith Bella Vista) and the many attractions of Panama City.

The downstairs lobby was quiet when we reached the hotel almost close to midnight. But the clerk on duty was courteous and upgraded our room to a two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a kitchen area and a sitting area and a separate dining area. Breakfast was not included in our package. There is a restaurant on site but we chose to furnish our own food from the local supermarket. We used the room service a couple of times for coffee and that worked out fine.

Our room was very spacious, with wonderful views of Panama City rooftops and lovely sunsets. The kitchen was sufficiently large with a fridge, microwave and cooking range.

The elevator was a bit small but provided nice views but sometimes we had to wait a few minutes. The staff was very cordial. The hotel has a pool on the top floor with nice views of the city. A fitness center completes the amenities. Laundry service is provided and we took advantage of that the last evening of our stay.

The area near the hotel is close to the business district and many restaurants. Taxis are easily available. Most attractions were about 20 minutes from the hotel during non rush hour.

The Marriott apartment hotel was a wonderful place for us to stay at, in terms of location, room space and service. We would definitely consider staying here again or in one of the Marriott service apartments in a different city in the future.
